Children in the creative process
If your Victorian Not For Profit organisation is thinking about working with or using children in any part of the creative or artistic process, you should be aware of your obligations. The Arts Law website has an information sheet dealing with these issues. Note that a working with children check is a legal requirement for workers who will have contact with children during the course of their work with your organisation.
- see Children in the Creative Process on the ArtsLaw website
- see the Working with children and other checks page on this website.
Copyright
If your Not For Profit organisation is working in the Arts, you need to be aware of how copyright works. Artists, musicians, writers and others who create artistic works of any kind have rights to do with the copying and use of their work. The Copyright Council of Australia is a Not For Profit organisation that assists creators and other copyright owners to understand and exercise their rights.
